About WEBPRO

WEBPRO is an established digital agency providing websites, digital marketing and online business solutions to clients across a range of industries.

We’re looking for an experienced SEO professional to join us in a permanent, full-time role, helping to lead our SEO strategy, support our existing team and develop the next stage of our SEO and AI-powered search services.

We’re not looking for someone simply to manage people or produce reports. We want someone who genuinely understands SEO, has the practical experience to make informed decisions and can turn business objectives into effective strategies that deliver measurable results.

The role

You’ll take a leading role in shaping and improving SEO performance across our client portfolio and WEBPRO’s own websites.

You’ll work closely with our existing SEO and marketing team, providing strategic direction, reviewing work, sharing knowledge and helping colleagues develop their expertise.

Much of the day-to-day implementation is already handled by our team, so your main responsibility will be ensuring we’re doing the right things, in the right order, for the right commercial reasons.

However, this is very much a hands-on strategic role. You’ll need the technical confidence to investigate problems, demonstrate solutions and get directly involved whenever necessary.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and reviewing SEO strategies for clients, aligned with their business objectives.
• Providing technical SEO guidance, including website architecture, crawlability, indexing, migrations, internal linking, structured data and performance issues.
• Identifying organic growth opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis, content planning and technical audits.
• Establishing clear priorities and practical SEO roadmaps for the team to implement.
• Reviewing SEO reporting to ensure it delivers meaningful insights, recommendations and commercial value rather than simply presenting statistics.
• Supporting, mentoring and sharing knowledge with our existing SEO and marketing team.
• Helping develop and improve WEBPRO’s SEO packages, services and client offering.
• Translating WEBPRO’s own business plans into an actionable SEO, AI-search and content strategy to increase relevant visibility, enquiries and organic growth.
• Monitoring developments in Google Search, AI Overviews, answer engines, GEO/AEO and emerging search technologies.
• Proactively identifying changes and opportunities so that WEBPRO and our clients can respond early rather than play catch-up.
• Using AI tools intelligently to improve research, analysis, planning and efficiency, while maintaining strong SEO fundamentals and professional judgement.
• Working with colleagues across development, content, design and account management to ensure SEO recommendations are implemented effectively.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have 5–8 years of substantial hands-on SEO experience, preferably including time within a digital agency working across different clients and industries.

You’ll have a strong understanding of:

• Technical SEO, website audits, crawling, indexing and site architecture.
• On-page and off-page SEO, including content optimisation, authority and link building.
• Keyword strategy, search intent, competitor research and organic growth planning.
• Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs or equivalent tools.
• SEO performance analysis, reporting and conversion-focused measurement.
• Modern AI-assisted SEO workflows and the evolving AI-search landscape.

You’ll also be comfortable explaining technical and strategic recommendations to colleagues and clients, challenging assumptions constructively and helping others develop.

Experience mentoring colleagues, leading SEO projects or helping shape agency SEO services would be particularly valuable.

You should be able to demonstrate examples of websites you’ve helped improve, problems you’ve identified and resolved, and strategies you’ve developed that produced meaningful results.

SEO and AI: the future of search

We’re actively developing our services and approach to AI-powered search, and we’re looking for someone who understands both established SEO principles and emerging opportunities.

You’ll be comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and other AI platforms to support research, analysis and strategic thinking, while independently validating recommendations and making sound professional decisions.

We want someone who can help keep WEBPRO and our clients ahead of developments, not simply react after changes have already affected performance.
