Programme Manager Full Time

Job purpose:

We are seeking an experienced customer-focused Programme Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple projects and commercial engagements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, planning, and executing various programmes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines. You will engage with senior and technical customer stakeholders, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Becrypt, including senior management, engineering project management, software developers, architects and quality assurance engineers, to ensure internal projects are coordinated with customer programme requirements.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with complex technology and diverse stakeholders. The individual will play a key role in the overall success of Becrypt. As a newly created programme management function, the successful candidate will be expected to be an experienced project manager, happy to roll up their sleeves within a growing organization.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of customer-facing projects, assuring alignment with related internal projects and deliverables.
• Work closely with Engineering Project Management, Product Owners and cross-functional teams to ensure customer success is achieved on time and within budget
• Create and maintain a comprehensive plan that outlines objectives, resources, timeline, communication and governance frameworks required for successful execution
• Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project statuses, challenges, and achievements.
• Identify and manage risks to ensure programme success
• Arrange and facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure effective communication and collaboration across work streams
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategy and goals
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and take these forward in future projects / programmes
• Evaluate the success of the programme against goals and objectives, outline ongoing considerations and capture lessons learnt.

Skills/Experience:

Essential:

• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and programmes
• Proven experience working in a fast paced, agile environment, working closely with autonomous cross-functional teams
• Is able to adapt Programme Management approach to various contexts adding value to the established processes and practices
• Able to talk techie, but comfortable engaging senior customer stakeholders
• Desire to share knowledge and experience with those around them
• Is curious and sees value in really understanding the business they are involved in
• Has a sense of ownership and responsibility for their work
• Is adaptable and pragmatic in their approach
• In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and tools

Desirable:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• PRINCE 2 / APM qualifications
• Experience with MoD and Defence Digital
