Our client, a leading transport and logistics company based in Manchester, is seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Manager to join their team. As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are maintained to the highest standards and that they are available for use when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the company’s fleet of vehicles, including cars, vans and HGVs.
• Ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and that they are available for use when required.
• Manage and motivate a team of drivers, ensuring that they are trained and developed to the highest standards.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure that vehicles are roadworthy.
• Monitor and manage the fleet budget, ensuring that costs are kept within agreed limits.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure that parts and materials are ordered in a timely manner and at the best possible price.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and legislation.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar Fleet Manager role.
• Excellent knowledge of fleet operations and maintenance processes.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• The ability to motivate and develop a team of drivers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT skills, including experience using fleet management software.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of transport legislation and regulations.
