We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Birmingham. As the Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on health and safety issues, identifying and mitigating risks, and promoting best practices in health and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide health and safety advice and guidance to all levels of the organization
• Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans
• Develop and deliver health and safety training programs
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and make recommendations for corrective actions
• Monitor and review health and safety performance metrics
• Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices
• Work with external agencies and stakeholders on health and safety issues
• Participate in health and safety committees and other relevant forums

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or similar role
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation
• Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or similar
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus
