We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of surveying services, including building surveys, defect diagnosis, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct building surveys and produce detailed reports outlining any defects or issues, as well as recommendations for remedial works.
• Diagnose defects and provide advice on repair and maintenance options, including cost estimates and project timelines.
• Manage building projects from conception to completion, including procurement of contractors, contract administration, and project monitoring.
• Advise clients on property acquisition and disposal, including due diligence assessments and property condition reports.
• Provide expert witness services in relation to building disputes and insurance claims.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest building regulations and legislation, and provide guidance to clients and colleagues.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and external stakeholders, and actively seek new business opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in building surveying, defect diagnosis, and project management.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and legislation, as well as familiarity with relevant construction methods and materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose defects and provide effective solutions.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
