AI Interview Review FAQs
Common questions about reviewing interview transcripts and recordings with AI.
What is an AI interview review tool?
An AI interview review tool helps employers turn interview transcripts or recordings into structured summaries, candidate scores, strengths, concerns and suggested next steps.
How does Career Poster review interviews using AI?
You can paste an interview transcript or upload an audio recording. Career Poster then converts the interview into a transcript if needed and uses AI to review the candidate against your role requirements, desirables and scorecard criteria.
Can I upload an interview recording?
Yes. Career Poster customers can upload audio recordings and compressed video files, subject to file size and usage limits. Audio files such as MP3 and M4A are recommended because they are much smaller and usually upload faster.
What file types are supported?
Supported formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, MP4 and WEBM. For larger video recordings, we recommend converting the video to an audio file first, then uploading the MP3 or M4A.
What does the AI interview review include?
The AI review can include an interview summary, overall score, recommendation, candidate strengths, concerns, criteria scoring, suggested follow-up questions and a downloadable PDF report.
Can I compare candidates?
Yes. Once you have reviewed two or more candidates for the same role, you can compare their AI interview scores, recommendations, strengths, concerns and employer notes. You can also generate an AI candidate comparison summary.
Can I download the interview review?
Yes. You can download individual candidate interview review reports as PDFs. You can also download candidate comparison reports when reviewing multiple candidates for the same job.
Is audio transcription available to everyone?
Audio and compressed video transcription is available for Career Poster customers with an active job. Other users can still paste interview transcripts manually and use the review workflow where available.
Does AI make the hiring decision?
No. The AI interview review is designed to support your hiring process, not replace human judgement. Employers should always make final recruitment decisions themselves and review the AI output carefully.
Can I add my own final notes?
Yes. After generating an AI interview review, you can add your own employer notes, choose a final decision and keep a clearer record of why a candidate should progress, be held or not move forward.
