Researcher – Tesco Support Team – Head Office (Ref: 910)

Salary: £31,773 pa rising to £38,054 pa after four years’ service.

Location: Head Office, Salford Quays, M50 3XZ

The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK’s largest trade unions.

A vacancy exists for a Researcher based at the Union’s Head Office.

The principal duties are: to provide advice and information on employee relations, employment, political, economic, and social issues, support the Union’s campaigning work as required, provide a support service to National Officers as required and provide a central support service advising members, reps and officials on Tesco-specific issues.

The successful applicant will possess: A degree in a relevant area or equivalent experience in the Trade Union and Labour Movement; a working knowledge of employment law and equalities issues; effective communication; IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as online information sources and Tesco specific systems and the ability to produce reports.
