Job Description:

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team in Manchester. As a Support Worker, you will work with adults with disabilities, providing them with practical and emotional support to help them live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support adults with disabilities with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
• Promote independence and enable service users to develop new skills and interests
• Provide emotional support and companionship to service users
• Work closely with service users’ families and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate records of service users’ care plans and progress
• Attend meetings and reviews, and provide reports and recommendations as required
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge
• Adhere to professional ethical and legal standards in the provision of support services

Requirements:

• Experience working in a care or support role, ideally with adults with disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Empathy and compassion for service users and their families
• Understanding of the principles of person-centred care
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to support services
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• A full driving licence and access to a car is desirable but not essential
