We are seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting utility surveys to identify and locate underground utility infrastructure for construction and excavation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct utility surveys to identify and locate underground utility infrastructure, such as gas, water, and electricity lines, for construction and excavation projects.
• Use a range of surveying techniques and equipment, including ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic locators, to accurately map utility networks.
• Produce accurate and detailed utility maps and reports, and present findings to clients and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices for utility surveying.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest surveying technologies and techniques, and share insights with colleagues and clients.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Utility Surveyor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of utility surveying techniques and equipment, and familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations, such as the HSG47 guidelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• A degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
