We are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Birmingham. As the Health & Safety Officer, you will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager to ensure that the organization complies with relevant health and safety regulations and promotes a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and make recommendations for corrective actions
• Deliver health and safety training programs
• Monitor and review health and safety performance metrics
• Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices
• Provide support to the Health & Safety Manager and other stakeholders as required

Requirements:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Relevant experience in a health and safety role
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
