We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing equipment, carrying out routine maintenance, responding to breakdowns and carrying out repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of manufacturing equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs in a timely manner
• Identify faults and carry out fault finding and diagnostics
• Install new equipment and upgrade existing equipment as necessary
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure that records are accurate and up-to-date
• Work collaboratively with other members of the engineering team to ensure that production targets are met

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
