Simple ‘not successful’ email template for job applications
Not responding to your job applications is bad practice, even with ‘non-suitable’ or ‘not successful’ candidates. Not only does it make your company look bad, but it could also create further work when recruiting for your roles.
Don’t leave candidates guessing or they could keep chasing the application, wasting both of your valuable time. Sending a simple email to let them know the status of their application is essential, we have created a generic ‘not successful’ email template for you to use below.
Dear [Candidate],
Thank you for applying to the [Job Role].
We have reviewed your CV and unfortunately, we have decided that your application is not suitable for this role at this time.
We would like you to stay in touch with us for any future vacancies that we may have in the future, you can do this by following our example: Twitter page: @twittername.
Kind Regards,
[Your Name]
[Company]
Using our services?
When using the Career Poster email feature within the job dashboard, you can use the tag @@candidatename in your templates and when you send bulk emails to a group you have saved, it will automatically fill in the candidate’s name.
If your advertising multiple jobs, then the @@jobtitle, will also come in handy when emailing applicants.
